After graduating from Miller County High School, I mucked around college until finally settling on a major and graduating with a degree in anthropology. After a brief period at a psychiatric hospital (employee, not patient) I returned to school where I took education courses and decided to continue my work  with the disturbed as a middle/high school teacher.

I am currently certified to teach middle grades math, science, social studies, and language arts. I am also certified to teach all high school math and science courses. I coach the PCA quiz bowl team and announce from the press box at Panther football games. Science is my passion, but I also have a special place in my heart for sports, technology, and what could loosely be defined as "nerd culture".  In my spare time I like to listen to podcasts, read science articles, and prepare for our inevitable robot overlords.
